CHORAL

David is passionate about choral music and inspiring choirs to reach their full potential. Recent work includes contracts with the Netherlands Radio Choir, preparing the chorus for concerts with Marcus Creed.

David was trained as an Organ Scholar at University College, Oxford, studying choral conducting with Paul Spicer and subsequently at the Royal Academy of Music with Patrick Russill. While in London, David conducted choirs for the Southbank Centre, Courtauld Gallery and Morley College, worked as Chorus Master for the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, and participated in masterclasses with the BBC Singers.

Alongside work with various choral societies, David was Musical Director of the inventive chamber choir Myriad and Director of Music in the Parish of Wanstead, as well as Visiting Conductor for the choir of Turku Cathedral, Finland. During his time in Germany he worked with various opera choruses (see OPERA) and attended masterclasses with the Berlin Radio Choir. Since returning to the UK he has been appointed Assistant Head of Music at All Saints Church, Leamington Spa.

David is an Associate of the Royal College of Organists (ARCO), holds a DipABRSM piano diploma and recently received an Associateship (ARAM) from the Royal Academy for his distinguished contribution to the music profession.
