Myriad’s ‘Viva la Revolution’

Myriad’s Autumn concert 2017 will be ‘Viva la Revolution’. David explains: ‘Our next concert will explore choral works written during times of political upheaval and revolution, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution, and perhaps to shine a light on some contemporary happenings! It’s going to be a really exciting concert featuring the rarely performed ‘Advance Democracy’ by Benjamin Britten, as well as the Tippett Spirituals from ‘A Child of Our Time’, music from the time of the Russian Revolution and Spanish Civil War, and one movement from Philip Moore’s ‘Prayers of Dietrich Bonhoeffer’, amongst others.

Do not miss what is sure to be a fascinating, if sometimes bumpy, ride. The concert will take place at Holy Trinity Church, Eltham on Saturday 28th October, at 7.30pm. More information, as always, on Myriad’s website,
